Concert Addict

One Direction - Melbourne Aus, February 2015

I Letaetia, am addicted to attending concerts. Concerts are one of my favorite things to spend my money on. My bank account hates me for this but hey my heart wants what it wants. I’m addicted to that rush of excitement as the artist/band walks on stage and the crowd goes absolutely nuts. In that moment everyone has gone from strangers to friends because we are all here for the same reason, the mutual love of this artiest/band. That buzz you get when you hear your favorite songs live for the first time or tenth time, it makes all the little hairs on your arms stand up and you start singing your heart out. You’re 100% living in the moment.

So far this year I have been to 3 Concerts. One Direction in February, Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith in April. Can you see the theme here? I have a massive soft spot for British artists. I also have plans for 5 Second Of Summer in June. There are so MANY more concerts I want to attend but sadly are on in the months where I will be overseas in America at Summer Camp or am just to poor to buy tickets.

Sam Smith - Auckland NZ, April 2015

Concerts in New Zealand are a tricky thing because either 1: They are priced so ridiculously I have to sell my first-born child to attend. 2: They will only be doing 1 concert so it becomes a fight to the death for tickets. 3: If you don’t live in the city where the concert is on you have to fork out for transport and accommodation. 4: They don’t even know NZ exists WE DO EXIST, therefore don’t even come, which leaves us crying into tubs of ice cream watching concert videos via YouTube.

But on the plus side 1: You make hella cool friends with the people next to you in line and follow each other on social media so you can meet at every concert. Shout out to all my fangirl friends! 2: Stalking missions to find your fave celeb and have those magical moments where you look into there eyes and say something dumb or if your me start doing accents and doing weird moves – don’t ask I get nervy ok. 3: Going crazy in the mosh pit (or seats if you prefer) just vibeing. 4: Hearing the magic in their vocals that shits pure gold. 5: Making incredible memories.

Ed Sheeran - Wellington NZ, April 2015

The comedown or the post concert depression is the worst! I haven’t found the best way to deal with it yet, so any suggestions would be appreciated. So far it has been lying on the floor for hours just listening to their album on repeat, or buying a ticket to the following nights show which leads to even bigger PCD with a crying bank account and then I’m back to lying on the floor. But I would do it again in a heart beat #NoRegrets

Bottom line go buy that ticket, JUST DO IT and shake that booty !
